Asisat Oshoala appears to be frustrated
The Nigerian ladies who defeated Mali 6 – 0 in their opening group game at the ongoing 2016 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Cameroon faced a strong opposition in the Black Queens who entertained the crowd inside a nearly full stadium.

The game which had a scrappy start laws enlivened in the 10th minute an intelligent pass from Nigeria’s Wogu almost set up Oshoala, but the effort was too much for the Arsenal lady.

Nigeria opened the scoring in the 20th minute after a set-piece by Asisat Oshoala was turned-in by an opponent in an own-goal situation.

The Ghanaians leveled the scoring when Addo converted from the penalty spot  in the 42nd after she was fouled in Nigeria’s danger area.

Things then changed in the second half as the Black Queens settled and took control of proceedings in the midfield. The side’s goal scored Addo who was obviously the best player on the pitch continued to torment the Nigerian defence.

Also, lanky Dadson dazzled and was through on goal but Nigeria’s goalkeeper Alaba Jonathan was on hand to save the situation.

The Super Falcons had a couple of chance to win it at the dearth, but referee waved play-on in the last second when Oshoala was brough down in the area.

In ended: Nigeria 1 – 1 Ghana.

The Super Falcons must now win their final group game against Kenya on Saturday, November 26 in their bid to reach the semi-final.
